How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

Hi Doc, After having irregular periods due to PCOD my dotor gave my Primolut Nor so i can get my periods cycle and give a blood test on the second day. I took tablets for 7 days twice a day. After how many days will i get periods after stopping the medicine? it has been 3 days now.. i am a bit concerned

Hi I think you can get your periods in 10 to 14 days after stopping the tablet. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done.In pcos, there is absence of ovulation which leads to delayed periods and infertility. So, if you are planning to get pregnant, you may need ovulation induction with timed intercourse for conceiving. Hope it helps.
