How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

I have had irregulars periods since I started at age 12, I will be 50 this year. I was told atleast 10 years ago that I was going through menopause (one year I didn t have a cycle for nine months) and was told if I make it through a whole year that I was through, so when my cycle started yesterday I was taken by surprise because I hadn t had a cycle since October 2016 is this normal?

Hello,

Yes, for your age it is normal. Nearing menopause or if you have attained it, then usually it stops only by the irregular method. So, you do not have to worry at all about it and lead yours happily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
