How Can Itching And Hyperpigmentation On The Face And Neck Be Treated?

Hi Doctor,

I'm aa 43 year old black guy situated in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have grown up being a light skinned but over the years my skin turned dark in the face and my back. It started being itchy and turned greenish and then it went dark. I have even developed tear drops like marks like on my face. Can you please assist.

Hi,

There are many medical conditions that cause hyperpigmentation. Some suggestions about the treatment are:

-use Benzoyl Peroxide and salicylic acid (used to treat acne)
-use anti-ageing compounds such as retinoids and glycolic acid
-use sunscreen
