How Can Itching And Inflammation On The Skin After Applying A Skin Mask Be Treated?

Hello, my problem is I have since developed a mask made of Indian mud and water and did not harm my skin and today I put it again but I replaced the water with apple cider which is the main component of this catcher and in turn caused me to redness and irritation of the skin and the appearance of grain (note: put it on the forehead, nose and chin) I don t know what to do now I feel itching I am now putting an option on my face, please help me , I am nervous Is this a big problem and is there a solution that saves me from this problem in at least four days?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You seem to have developed an irritant reaction to vinegar. Redness and itching are signs of that. I suggest you to use a moisturizer frequently. In addition I suggest you to apply an OTC topical steroid, e.g. Hydrocortisone acetate cream (cortisone cream). You may take an oral antihistamine, e.g. Tab. Cetrizine for symptomatic relief from itching.
