How Can Itching Due To Yeast Infection Be Treated?

I had a yeast infection, with my only symptom being severe itching. My doctor prescribed one 150 mg dose of Diflucan, which she said may take up to three days to work. This is the third day, and while the itching has subsided, I now find it ridiculously painful to urinate. Do I need to go back to my doctor?

Hello,

I don't think this painful urination is related to yeast infection or diflucan usage. You need to an urine analysis and uroculture to check for urinary track infection. Possibly antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
