How Can Itching During Pregnancy Be Dealt With?

Hello Dr. Prasad, i m in my 5month of my pregnacy (a girl), and i m having a terrible itching skin, i got some spots at my legs, abdomen and hands since 1 week. I did all the analysis and i m ok, i ve never suffered from this kind of problem, i didn t have any of these symptom during my first pregnancy(a boy). Please can u suggest me some treatment to relief itching .. Thank you, Lisana

Go for liver function tests. Sometimes in pregnancy levels increased and that can lead to itching. Calamine lotion for local application is sufficient. If not relieved need medication. Then consult both gynaecologist and dermatologist.
