How Can Itching In The Groin Area Be Treated?

Yes, hope you can help me. I am a male, 69 and have what I have thought is jock itch. I have treated it with a Rx, Tinactin, Lamisil, Lotrimin... and other OTC sprays and lotions. I cannot it seems to get it to go away. I bathe regulary, but the itch and sometimes an odor always comes back... Any suggestions welcomed

* My recommendations at present:
- Local area care with antiseptic cleaning and steroid, antibiotic cream.
- Systemic antibiotics, anti fungal and anti histamine medications as per the doc`s evaluation.
- Correction of any hormonal disturbances, altered blood sugar or else.
