How Can Itchy Rashes On The Arms And Shoulders Be Treated?

Hello, I have taken Jardience for a time and believe it caused a rash on my arm and shoulder. I have since stopped under Doctors orders so I am waiting to see if it clears up. I have been off it a week but I still have the rash. It itches and looks like small red dots. I am now seeing some discoloration like faint blotches under my skin of the arm. Any ideas?...thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons, some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, or animal hair, or nylon and terylene clothes can trigger allergy.

Just try to find out what you are allergic to and avoid it. Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week.

If you still not better, then consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
