Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what I think is a mosquito bite on my back but its been several days and its very itchy. The patch is now a large oval with smooth edges. Its not a bulls eye like Lymes (which I had 15 years ago) and I do not recall the tick bite being so itchy. I am not sure what it is.
If the ends also appear scaly, it is possible that it maybe a fungal rash, these can be very itchy.
They are treated with the topical application of a anti fungal cream such as ketoconazole, miconazole, econazole etc. You may be able to get one of these over the counter.
It can take 2 to 3 weeks of consistent twice daily use of a topical antifungal for a fungal rash to improve.
I hope this helps
