How Can Kidney Stones Be Removed?

My husband has a 7 mm kidney stone in one of his kidneys which is non obstructive. Family doctor suggests he goes back for another urine test in Sept. and drink lots of water in the meantime. Three small fragments already passed out in the last few weeks but it seems to have stopped. Any way to dissolve the stone?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your husbands kidney stone.

As it is small calculus only 7 mm and that too it does not need any surgical or medical intervention.

He may need to take large amount of fluids. If your doctor recommend he can also take any of the alkyliser with water.
Avoid certain fruits or vegetables like tomato for some time because it some times cause stones to bulge.

There are many methods for stone removal like LITHOTRYPSY but I don't think it is needed at this stage. Work on fluids and life style change it will work.

Hope my answer will help you and write us back in case any further help is needed.
