How Can Knee Pain Be Treated?

Hi, my name is Chrissy. I have had knee problems for 10 weeks now, I have been to 2 orthopedic docs and did some imagining that didn t show much of anything. They sent me to PT and I have seen 4 PT people and did 5 weeks of PT with very little improvement. I also have seen Chiropractor since the beginning of my knee problems, but tonight my Chiropractor thought he would check me out and see if there was any change and he was very concerned, because he felt a large pocket that seemed very hard, not like fluid, he described it more like blood coagulating. My biggest question is should I be seen sooner then later for this new issue? I have an apt with another Orthopedic on the 22 of this month.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you have got your imaging done early and the report is OK then it doesn't mean you don't have any problem. May be possible that your act of getting the imaging done was too early for the pathological process to develop.

So, if your chiropractor thinks it is some blood coagulation then you get an MRI done for knee. Soft tissues will be visible better in MRI but not with CT or x-ray.

If you can find any pathology with MRI then we can go ahead with the treatment. If we couldn't find anything, I suggest you to go to orthopedician for examination. We will be able to find pathology only with the help of the report of the examination.
