How Can Knee Pain Caused By An Injury Be Treated?

Sir, I got my knee injured,as it collided with a round cornered table,on 2/2/17,and i thought that it would be ok,within a days, but that did not happen, hence forth i started feeling pain, while walking, running, climbing/unclimbing,sitting on feet etc, then i got injected with an injection of tetnus, and that releived my movement on plane surface, also that reduces the pain to a great extent. Now,yesterday i got an MRI done of my knee, which can be shared, for your reference. Note:-My movement, knee,is stable, right now.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Avoid putting much weight on your knee if it's painful to do so. You may need to use crutches for a time.
-Ice your knee for 20 to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours to lessen the pain and swelling.
-Compress your knee. Put an elastic bandage, straps, or sleeves on your knee to control swelling.
-Raise your knee on a pillow when you're sitting or lying down.
-Wear a knee brace to stabilize the knee and protect it from further injury.
-Take anti-inflammatory painkillers. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxyn will help with pain and swelling.
-Practice stretching and strengthening exercises.Never stretch so much that it hurts.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
