How Can Leg Vein Swelling Caused By Injury Be Treated?
A soda bottle fell on my mom s lower part of the leg and the vein looks swollen. She says it feels like its pulsing and warm. We have ice on it already. My concern is that is this bad because they told her she was diabetic but a couple of months ago they said who ever told her she was diabetic was wrong because she is pre-diabetic.

IN the given situation, You seems to have suffered from-Leg Contusion with Vein swelling from Contusion/? traumatic rupture with hematoma locally.
Remedy-
Consult Surgeon.
Rest / Elevation
Pain killers-with NSAIDS
Cold sponging initially for 3-5 days.
If need be hot sponging for 3-5 days.
Antibiotics if need be.
Venostockings if need be
Color doppler / Usg study to fix and assess the traumatic damage to leg veins from soda water bottle fall.
Check blood sugar and keep it under control by diet and care of wound/ contusion in your case.
Things would resolve in 2 weeks time if treated on above lines.
Work up on above lines suggested, would help in resolving the issues,in your specific case.
Many other causes accompanying, need to be ruled out in planning further care in your case.
Second opinion with attending GI- Surgeon would resolve your health .
