How Can Legs, Stomach And Breast Scaly Scabs Be Treated?

I am a 36 year old female. I have these white scaly scabs that have been on my legs for quite some time now (longer than a year I think) and I want to know how to get rid of them. They seem to all be surrounding hair follicles. In recent months I have now noticed a few on my stomach and side of one breast. I d like to get rid of them and prevent them from spreading further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You seem to have an eczematous skin condition. You must visit a dermatologist in your region for a thorough skin examination including skin biopsy, for confirmation of the diagnosis. For the time being I suggest you to use a moisturizer over the affected areas, twice daily. In addition you may need to apply a topical steroid ointment after ascertaining the exact cause. You may also take an oral antihistamine e.g Tab cetrizine 10mg once a day for symptomatic relief from itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
