How Can Long-term Toothache, Headache And Sinusitis Be Treated?

Hi, my 25 year old sister is not keeping well from the last nine years. She is suffering from severe toothache accompanied with headache now a days. It happens once or twice in every week . Earlier she used to suffer headache and eye irritation. We have consulted many doctors. But no medicine is coming to her relief. She has been diagnosed with sinusitis . She continued medicine for more than a year but nothing worked. Her condition is getting worse day by day. I want her to lead a normal life. So please sir give some suggestions.....

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

First of all I would like to know that you have pain in a single tooth or is it generalised to the entire upper jaw..
In case of sinusitis the pain occurs generalised in the upper gums due to close position of the upper gums to the sinuses..
But if she has pain localised to a single tooth then it can be probably due to infection in the tooth..
So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get a panoromic x ray done along with a PNS view x ray of sinuses..
If there is a decayed tooth then treating the tooth either with root canal treatment of tooth with Root Canal treatment or extraction will help in resolution..
In case if it is due to sinus infection then a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers, decongestant nasal sprays like xylometazoline and saline nasal irrigation will help in relief..
If the conservative treatments does not work then endoscopic sinus surgery can be advised to relieve the symptoms..

Hope she gets well soon..

Regards.
