How Can Loss Of Voice Be Treated?

Hello, I used to sing in school . I had a powerful voice. I had asthma since i was a kid. During winter season my airways tighten so my doctor gave me symbicort (turbhaler) . As i proceeded with the medication i started loosing my voice and so my speaking voice changed (mushy voice/chest voice is not clear). I used also clenil but didnt change anything. After i did an online search i found out that inhalers have side effects on vocal cord closure. Now i started romilast 10. Is there an inhaler or antihistamine that could help me get my voice back? I am desperate about this.

Hello,

First, your voice will return definitely by practice. Some effects of winter and some effects of inhaler may lead to closure side effects on vocal cords.

As you have already started another inhaler, my advice is to do hot water gargles only. Do not to take any medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
