my brother has been in hospice care for 2 wks. now. He has had cancer meds leaving his body ( black stools ) . today his b/p has dropped to 54/. We are hoping he will go soon, wondering how long it might be. It s painful knowing he s had no fluids or food in about a week.

Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Low blood pressure can be managed only in a hospital setup. He might require IV fluids and medicines like dopamine.
An intensivist will take care of him.
thanks
