How Can Low Blood Pressure, Dizziness And Tiredness Be Treated?
48 year woman with diabetes for 47. Blood pressure is typically low: 89 over 55 is not unheard of, technicians frequently double check. In good health overall but in past few days have been dizzy and tired. Suspect the blood pressure is getting much too low. I want to do something to raise my pressure in the meantime until I can be seen by a doctor.
There are many factors causing low blood pressure when being a diabetic: - skipping meals as you might fear increase in blood sugar level - restriction in foods/drinks that might cause lack of nutrients you need to run your daily duties - anemia: get a complete blood count - standing up for longer time - lack of physical activity (resting for longer)
I advise to run further lab tests to find out the right cause: - complete blood count - total hormonal balance - cardiac tests: ECG, cardiac echo, stress test
Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
