How Can Low Haemoglobin Levels Be Treated?

I am 57 year old, now I am suffering low heamoglobin, last December it was 8.5, then next when I checking it was 8.4, after consulting Dr. he recommended iron tablet just 15 days, after that when rechecking on 07.04.2018, it was 7.1 We checked liver test, bile, kidney, thyroid etc.. all are normal. No suger and BP, What is the reason? I feel most tired, can you suggest what to do? I am K.Rajendran, Cuddalore, Tamil nadu, India 0000

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Decreasing hemoglobin has to be evaluated first rather than taking iron medicine.

Usually, it is caused by internal bleeding or heamorrhage (increased bleeding in case of female).

Some worm infestations also cause reduced hemoglobin, or any intestinal disorder. My suggestion is, please visit hematologist for exact diagnosis.
