How Can Male Orgasmic Disorder Be Treated?

My husband has been experiencing male orgasmic disorder for the last 2-3 months. I believe it coincides with the Zyrtec dose being increased to 4 x per day. He has severe rashes. He is seeing an allergist. Sound logical? The few other meds he takes have been unchanged for years; uroxitral (spelling?), elavil, synthroid. He is active, no diabetes, only 5-10 lbs overweight, 54 years old.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What problems your husband is facing related to orgasm might not be related to increase in the dose of medication. Since he is on synthyroid, I would like to suggest that he needs to get his thyroid profile checked. Variations in thyroid hormone might be contributing to his disorder. Following getting the investigation done, kindly consult Physician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided helps.

All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
