How Can Menstrual Cramps Be Treated?

Hi there , I ve started the birth control pill over a month ago and I m currently on the 2nd sugar pill about to end the packet . I got my period but I m getting really bad cramps and I would like to stop it ! Can I stop taking the sugar pills and start taking the active pills tonight ? Will that make my period go away . If I can t get rid of my period how long will it last for ?

There are some birth control medications that can be used without a break (sugar pill) but this may not be the case for your medication.

The name of the pill that you are using is not mentioned, to determine if you can take your pill continuously, you would need to speak to your doctor.
