Hi,
Noted the history of shooting pain in right arm and shoulder,
MRI normal, asked to
physiotherapy, now left arm also has similar symptoms.
The commonest reason I can think about is cervical spondilitis causing
nerve compression or so and thus now affecting both sides of shoulder and arms.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Consult your Doctor and ask for MRI of the
Cervical spine.
If the findings are positive for cervical spine, discs or so, get a reference for a Neurosurgeon.
Neurosurgeon will review the symptoms, take a proper examination and correlate with MRI to give you proper guidance as per the findings.
It can be Physiotherapy, postural changes, neck collar or may be surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
