How Can Monocular Diplopia In Both Eyes Be Treated?

I have been experiencing monocular diplopia in both eyes. I have double vision, but when I close either eye the double vision doesn’t resolve itself. so I looked it up and people say this is monocular double vision, but mine is in both eyes. i’ve had it for about 2 years and I worried a lot about it when it first happened. I went to the eye doctor and he changed my prescription and that was that. It didn’t resolve itself but I guess I just got used to it and dealt with it. now I started thinking about it again and it’s really annoying so I don’t know what to do

I would really like to know the cause, as even a severe dry eye or something as simple as a refractive error can cause it and it is easily correctable. Please can you message what all is in the prescription so I can know the cause.
