How Can Mononucleosis Be Treated?

Have mono how do I get my engery level up ? Is there any wonder cure or medication to help recover quicker? How long would you recommend a active 40year oldmale construction worker to take it easy to recover? Feel like I have probably had this for 3 weeks just got dinosed today, got to feeling pretty good last week and worked it the extreme heat framing a house for 2days and then really feeling down every sense. Thought had a sinus infection or strep. Is rest the best remedy? Thank you for response.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your infection.

As you know infectious mononucleosis is a viral infection and it has no specific anti viral medication but that does mean it will not heal, it will heal of its own as it is self healing( self limiting).

You need to take lot of fluids and good diet, in case you feel much pain, fever or generalized body pain you can take paracetamol for it.

If it seems to your doctor there is any secondarily infection he may need you to prescribe antibiotics too.

Yes rest us a good remedy and with rest take good amount of fluids too.
