How Can Mouth Ulcers Be Treated?

my son and I have sores in our mouths. He acquired them first. We thought it might have been hand, foot, and mouth disease, but no rash showed up on him. He had it for 3 days until I started to show symptoms. Now I have sores all in my mouth and hurts to swallow. Any Ideas?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Ulcers in mouth are due to common causes like nutritional deficiency of Iron and Vitamin B12, eating plenty of sour and acidic foods. allergic reaction, burning with hot foods etc..

Other common cause can be Herpes virus infection causing cold sores or Bullous Pemphegoid..

So first of all get a clinical examination done by an Oral Physician for confirmation..

Treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now to reduce pain gargle with specialised mouthwash like Magic mouthwash, do warm saline gargles and take a soft non irritant diet..

Hope this helps..

Regards,,
