How Can Muffled Hearing Caused After Poking Eardrum With A Q-tip Be Treated?

I think I may have poked my eardrum with a Q-tip yesterday night. If anything else, I probably pushed earwax deeper into my ear as I was cleaning it, beause my ears were really dirty. Today, I put warm olive oil in my ear (twice), tried flushing out my ear with warm water via a plastic syringe, went swimming, and showered, but nothing seemed to work. My hearing is still sort of muffled, at least in one ear & it hurts when I hiccup or yawn or blow my nose. What do I do? When will this heal?

Hello

Please met your ent doctor as i think you may have damaged your ear drum and this can lead to permanent deafness. Please dont delay and meet your ent doctor as soon as possible.
Please avoid putting oil in your ear as it can damage the ear further.

Thanks
