General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Muscle spasms can be treated by applying heat.

Painkillers with muscle relaxants like Carisoprodol and Methocarbamol would be effective and should be taken for the prescribed number of days.

Physiotherapy would be of great help in relieving the pain and spasms. In case of severe terrible pain, injections would be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
