How Can Nasal Congestion And Cough In A Child Be Treated?

I have a 4yr 11month old granddaughter who has a lot of nasal congestion and a cough (worse at night). The doctor suggested Triaminic. I didn t realize there were so many kinds and have not been able to find any for her age here. It starts at Age 6 and say not to give to under 6. A pharmacist suggested using the cough nasal congestion one but only give her 1 tsp instead of the 2 tsp for a 6 hear old. Can you help me please.

Hello,

What is weight of your child?

Avoid cool drinks and freeze water and cold environment. Use Flucold drops 2.5 to 5ml (dose may change with weight) twice a day for five days.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day. If symptoms not improved, please consult your pediatrician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
