How Can Nasal Polyps Be Treated?

Hi my Name is Donita. I have sinus rynitus and polyps. I have had three surgery’s and due for another. The last surgery I had, they removed 13 polyps. My question is, I can feel a polyp in my right nostril. Can they come out on their own, and is it dangerous if they do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are two treatment options for nasal polyps, treatment of Nasal polyps usually starts with Corticosteroid drugs which allow the polyps to shrink in size or even eliminate them. In many cases, drugs are not successful, and your doctor will remove the polyps surgically.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abed Tahrawi
