How Can Neck Lumps With Excessive Sleeping Be Treated?
Hi my daughter has not been well for a couple of months now, she has been sleeping in until at least 11:30 am in the mornings, which is not like her at all, and is just generally not herself. In the past 2 weeks she has got a lump in the left side of her neck but towards the back of the neck and has now started to develop another one slightly inferior to this which is slightly smaller. could you please tell me what it could be and how should I go about getting it checked out? thank you
Hi,Welcome to HCM.This could be JD node with another node below due to adenitis from Sub-acute TB Tonsillitis, which is causing her ill for 2 mths.Or it could be NHL.To differrentiate Second opinion from your doctor and Surgeon is needed. I would suggest FNAC Biopsy with histopath study. Excessive sleeping may be due to above and associated illnesses. I would suggest you to consult your pediatric doctor who would investigate and treat it accordingly after investigating with Surgeon and confirming the causes for it. Anemia/malnutrition with chronic illness needs to be treated Hope this would help you to resolve your query.
