How Can Nerve Spasms Be Treated?

hi i fell over a week ago and moved what i think was a bone by my knee cap 2-3 inches to the left. it painfull if i stand more than 10 minutes or sit for more than 15. i loose sensation or goes numb often. the skin is bruised and looks dented but this is on my right aswell. i also get pains in my lower legs and often feels like a ligament or nerve spasm which hurts to the pointi scream. i have been taking paracetomal and ibufaphen every 2 hours co-ordernatly as this is the 3rd time i have done this but normally the swelling and pain goes in 2-3 days and can be managed by pain killers but this time it cant. i took this cause the first time was in october 2013 and a medic came out and told me to take them and go to and e if persits. should i go to a and e?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected user , hi
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* This seems in relation with ligament sprain or stretch around the knee cap .
* Highly recommended to consult an expert orthopedic surgeon ,get x-ray
of the region done , management accordingly to get perfect recovery .
* Till then can
- Alternate application of ice pack and heating pad 10 minutes each every
6 hourly .
- Keep the affected leg elevated over 3 pillows when resting
- Avoid direct pressure bearing till possible
- In our clinic we recommend gabapentine type molecules , but better to
consult the doctor in person for further drug molecules

Hope this clears your query .
Welcome for any further questions .
Regards .
