How Can Numbness Of Hands While Gripping The Cycle Handbars Be Treated?

Yes you can answer a question about numbness of my hands when I am gripping the handbars of my bike with braking power. I doubt if I am diabetic, don t have problems with my heart as far as I know. . . . I know to stop and rest when I go too fast or long riding. Any solutions? I should say pedaling since it is a bicycle.

Hello,

Usually, median nerve compression at the wrist may lead to tingling and numbness of hand. There is difficulty in gripping.

This median nerve dysfunction may be seen in hypothyroidism or anaemia or steroids intake or diabetes etc.

Use tablet Pregaba once daily for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
