Hi am a 39 yr male. got my blood tests done. following are showing out of range. Any thing to worry? HOMOCYSTEINE C.L.I.A 65 * μmol/L IRON PHOTOMETRY 59.48 * μg/dl ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE PHOTOMETRY 45 * U/l LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT PHOTOMETRY 145 * mg/dl LDL / HDL RATIO CALCULATED 3.6 * Ratio

Hello,

The normal homocysteine levels are 5-14 micromol/liter. Normal serum iron 55-176 micrograms/DL.

Your reports showing homocysteine levels are high means it is a risk factor for stroke or cardiovascular disease.

Check serum vitamin B12 and folic acid levels if they deficiency then homocysteine levels may high.

Take vitamin B12 and folic acid tablet.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
