Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sorry to say there is no medicine that will increase the height at your age. Height depends on combination of genetic and environmental factors. Human growth is regulated by human growth hormone secreted by anterior pituitary gland, which gradually subsides after adolescence. At the age of 18 to 20 years, long bones/epiphyseal plate has already been closed so there will be no further increase in height. Some orthopedic surgeons claim to increase length of long bones, and thus height by applying traction or by ilizarov technique.

So if you are very concerned, then consult the orthopedics surgeon for the surgical process. Eat healthy diet rich in protein, drink plenty of water and maintain proper posture, and do regular exercise. Maintain good posture. Just accept your height and try to feel comfortable with it. Avoid commercial products available in the market.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar
