How Can Osteoarthritis Be Treated?

i have M.S. and was put on solu medral, interveneously, (1 gram per day for 5 days in a row). my walking and osteoarthritis seems to have gotten much worse. My dr. prescribed this regiment to help my M.S. and the difficulty I was having walking. Is this normal to have my walking get worse and my osteoarthritis much much worse??? I also take 1/2 Soma pill (350 mg) at night for the severe spasms I get in my legs.

Hi,

Please note that osteoarthritis gets worsened with steroids.

Ask your doctor to put you on painkiller which is nonsteroids. As a matter of fact, the painkiller of choice for osteoarthritis is paracetamol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
