How Can Osteoporosis Be Treated?

My dr wants me to try drugs for Osteoporosis, the side effects terrify me. I try to do everything with natural methods as much as I can because I am allergic or have bad side effects to most pain meds, antibiotics, statins, steriods, prednisone, demerol, etc. had a hysterectomy 49, on nature thyroid meds (wish I would have tried iodine first), also a prescription /folbee. Is there a more natural way to approach this. I have trying OTC calcium etc

Hi,

Osteoporosis treatment consists of:
- Bisphosphonates (Alendronate, Risedronate, Zoledronic Acid or Denosumab) in order to reduce the risk of bone fracture.
- Calcium supplement alone won't help, taking vitamin D supplement along with calcium that is a good combination.
- No need for steroid as they will make the damages worse.
- Foods rich in vitamin D and calcium can also be effective.
- Avoid movements that would cause bone fractures.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
