How Can Ovarian Cyst Be Treated?

I m 26 with a 2 Centimeter ovarian cyst on my right cyst. I m in a lot of pain but my Gyn told me that since I m young it should go away on its own. Since I saw my Gyn I ve had one period and the cyst is still here. Should I wait longer to see if it goes away or should I get surgery? It really hurts a lot!!

Hi,

Since you are young, you better don't try surgery.

You can use contraception pills for some months to let ovaries at rest and let it shrink. It will not go in a month.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
