How Can Ovulation Date Be Calculated?

Good morning, I am TTC for about a year now, after I gave birth to my first child through CS, my menstrual days change from 4 days to 2 days but maintained 28days cycle. When is my ovulation. I have done hormonal test which was OK, I have done HSG test too. Only one tube blocked.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

If your menstruation cycle is 28 days and regular you can calculate your ovulation day by adding 14 days to the day that you had your periods +/- 2 days. Example: if your periods were June 4th, ovulation day is June 18th +/- 2 days meaning June 16-June 20 with this being the most likely interval when you can conceive.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
