How Can Pain And Immobility In The Wrist Be Treated?

I recently broke my left humerus bone and was not able to have it set for several weeks, by which time new bone growth had occurred; but, there was a gap between the upper and lower parts of the bone and the bone was not properly aligned. When the surgery was done to place a plate on the back side of the bone, some of the new bone growth had to be removed, resulting in my radial nerve being damaged; causing loss of ability to move my left wrist up and down. I m in therapy, and that seems to be helping some. I can swivel my wrist to turn my hand palm up and palm down fairly well; which, my therapist says indicates that the main nerve is probably OK to a point just below my elbow. I m also taking Collagen-C and Vitamin B-6; but, am wondering if there are any drugs that might also promote radial nerve repair.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unfortunately there are no drugs that can specifically promote repair of the radial or any nerve. In general a healthy lifestyle which includes uses sources with B vitamins, would be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query.
