How Can Pain And Inflammation In The Knees Be Treated?

I have inflammatory knee pain. No RA markers. Slight torn meniscus and 3 degree arthritis. I have no pain in the morning just after being on the knee, walking, standing or seating for an hour or more. It s constantly swollen and warm. I d like to take tumeric and avoid ibuprofen (my brother had ulcers from it) so how much should I take? Can I use powdered tumeric in liquid with the same result?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

You can take up to 3 gram per day of dried powdered turmeric root. Turmeric have anti inflammatory properties. However, there is no data suggestive comparable efficiency of turmeric to ibuprofen in reducing pain and inflammation.
