How Can Pain And Numbness In The Shoulder Be Treated?

I broke my shoulder in May of last year, I had a egg shell fracture where the shoulder nearly ripped away from the rotator cuff. Since then I have been told the pain I have been feeling for the last 4 months is from bone fragments that need removed, I never had them removed and now I am experiencing pain and numbness to the point my hair hurts my skin I cannot wear a bra or clothing without discomfort, all the way to my pinky. This has been getting worse by the day and with movement. I am having a hard time getting into a specialist. What would you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As you mentioned, specialist care would be necessary and the very best option for a review of your symptoms.

Imaging such as MRI is necessary for an in-depth look at the shoulder. Surgery would be helpful to deal with the symptoms that you are experiencing.

You may need to see if there is an alternative orthopedic surgeon where you can get a faster appointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
