General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems from your history that you are having severe pain in your shoulder and restriction of movement. You also say that the muscles in your shoulder have become atrophied. I would advise you to get yourself assessed by an orthopedic as soon as possible. If it is due to nerve compression, or injury it may be required to repair it surgically. The orthopedic surgeon will do a physical examination and some tests to check the functioning of your shoulder. He may also advise an MRI of the shoulder to check for any nerve injury. Treatment will depend on the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman
