How Can Pain And Pressure In The Ears Be Treated?

I had ear infection almost a week ago and before that my ear was already plugged and whistling. Now it has been a week where my ear is still plugged and I can hear basically nothing on that ear except for the whistling. I have been to the Dr two times because of it. I am doing a sinus rinse a number of times a day, taking decongestants and I got a prescription for Avamys, which all hasn’t helped to open my ear. Do I just need to have more patience, even though the pressure in my ear is very painful at times?

Hello,

You can take Cefadroxil drug twice daily for five days and apply cotton on both sides of the ear. You can also consult an ENT surgeon and do otoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
