How Can Pain And Stiffness In The Neck Be Treated?

Hi, I have a very stiff and painful neck. Not sure if it s related to the cold I ve had or maybe there s arthritis in there. My husband was prescribed Tramadol for his hernia surgery. Can I take one of his Tramadol for my neck pain? I can t get comfortable. I took 3 Advil 12 hours ago and it only mildly helped.

Hi,
I would recommend adding a muscle relaxant like carisoprodol or chlorzoxazone to Advil(ibuprofen) rather than shifting to tramadol. Adding of a muscle relaxant will help the stiffness and Advil will take care of any pain.
Neck pain and stiffness is usually caused by undesirable neck positions. Do look out and improve upon them. Take the medications only till the pain and stiffness lasts.
You can discuss the above options with your care giver. Hope it helps. Thanks.
