How Can Pain And Swelling In The Ankles And Feet Be Treated?

My 80 year mother is on remacaide. Was told by physician it not working as well as before and my mother is in a great deal of pain. She also experiencing swelling in her feet and ankles. We went to a cardiologist and he stated heart enlarged. Medication Remacaide too much for her body. Need some suggestions regarding next steps. Not sure what to do......
