How Can Pain Around A Hernia Repair Mesh Be Treated?
I did an hysterectomy and abdominal wall reinforcement with a ultra pro mesh 15*15 cm separated in two and fixed in shap of T upside down. But the mesh really hurts me after 8 months of my surgery should I remove even if there is no infection. I m in pain now for 3 months
It is possible that if the mesh is removed you may get an incisional hernia. This again will require surgery. However, if the mesh is really hurting you, it still can be removed and alternative techniques of surgery done with proline sutures, to prevent an hernia happening after removal of the mesh. But please only go in for such a surgery if you are in real discomfort.
