How Can Pain Around A Titanium Rod In The Tibia Be Treated?

Hi I m Rob . I have a titanium rod in my tibia. It was over a year ago. For the past 2 months I ve been having pain that is increasing. I have some bone growth over screws. I also sorry to being fatigued more more the pains I m having. The pains I m having the only way to describe it. It is like it s rotting aching dying bone.

Hi,

Sounds to be irregular spurts growth at the rod site, which seems dystrophic calcification most likely. An X-ray of the part will be of immense help to guide ahead.

Primary pain relief will be best attained with analgesic as Diclofenac or Tramadol tablet to be taken and antacid such as Ranitidine if no history of drug sensitivity.
