Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a flooring installer and so my job is very physical. I don t recall a specific incident that I hurt my dominant arms elbow. It will be fine, and then all almost out of no where it begins throbbing so bad I can barely stand it. from the elbow through my forearm, ring finger and pinky. I have been icing periodically. It will seem to help, and then almost seem to aggravate it. Heat kinda does the same thing. Then Ill go 6-8 hours no real issues, then flares up again. I tried a compression sleeve, and it again did the same thing as the ice and heat. What do you think? Something more serious, or what?
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM Since your job is very physical, your pain may be due to stress/strain on elbow components and not necessarily an injury.I will suggest you try the following: -Rest well -Take a pain drug like ibuprofen -A myorelaxant like miorel -A local pain gel like voltarene -You may continue ice/heat therapy If pain persist, you see the Doctor for examination. Hope this will help Wish you good health
