How Can Pain Due To Sciatica Be Treated?

Hello, I am a 67 year old woman that has been diagnosed with a degenerative disk and sciatic. I have taken pain pills, exercise, physical therapy, saddle block and have not found any solution to my pain. My quality of life is awful is there anything you can suggest that may help me?

Hi,

Generally, the pain pills (narcotics) give some quality of life. There are several other pills for pain that in most people are less effective but this varies. These include Aspirin-like drugs, and nerve pills like Cymbalta, Neurontin and/or Amitryptiline.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
