How Can Pain From Implanon Be Treated?

Hi there. I had my implanon put in around September 2012. Over the past week or so, the arm I got my implanon put in has been very painful around where the implanon is. It has been throbbing and aching. It s very sore and uncomfortable and am wondering what I should do? Thankyou!

Hello,

Pain and discomfort can happen Implanon because of local inflammation. Nothing much to worry and it will subside by it own. You can take analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Acetaminophen/Seratiopeptidase combination for symptomatic relief. If there is any signs of infection it has to be removed and re inserted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
